They're too hard to explain but their constant demands and expectations are too much for me at the moment!
I'm just not what they want me to be and I never will be.
Why doesn't loving and doing my best for their son and grandchildren make me good enough?
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!
*tanties*

It never is good enough usually. My inlaws are retards - and I dont say that lightly either. BFs mum ALWAYS makes me do excessive amounts of work when I go over there - lifting etc, I got to the point where I had to be verbally rude to her to make her listen to me. I hope you get things sorted :)

Mel you've married their little boy. Regardless of how old he is they will always see him as that.

I so can relate to you, I have a very difficult relationship with my outlaws. But I grin and bear it and bite my tongue ALOT.

You may need to stick up for yourself, and let it be known to them that you aren't putting up with their demands anymore, and that they are NOT to interfer anymore.

You can either tell Dh what you are going to do and have him backing you up, or do it on your own.

Be Strong Mel, it's the only way you can keep your sanity.

It sounds like me having another whinge again. My inlaws are right royal pains in the behinds. I am feeling very scared about bringing their first grandchild into the world they seem to ring and turn up at our house enuff as it is.

I feel for ya hun. but frankly if we get a man we get inlaws.

Awww Mel that totally bites for you. Spose I should be glad mine are getting a lot better.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

*hugs* I have absolutely no experience with IL's having thankfully been spared PIL's (not that I wanted them to die or anything but it's worked out well for me ) but big hugs Mel!

OMG I think I would be the worlds worst MIL when my boys get married. If I have a girl boys will have a lot to learn with her daddy in the Army

LOL! Charlotte was just saying today that she doesn't want to marry William anymore- she wants to marry Isabel AND Abby So I may have a lesbian polygamist on my hands!

I must admit I am glad I most likely won't ever have a DIL! (I mean most likely in that the girls will most likely be straight NOT as in I might wind up having another child!).
