Topic: Any tips on how to have a girl? Posted: 23 January 2009 at 11:36am |
Hi all. Does anyone have any advise or tips on how to have a girl. I would love a little pink thing, after having 3 boys.
Did anyone try anything to have a girl and then fell preggy with a girl?
Love to hear stories and idears, Thanks.

Isn't there something about when you have sex. I think that if you have sex on ovulation day you are more likely to have a boy and if you have sex a couple of days before hand you are more likely to have a girl. something to do with girl sperm (sorry can't thinkof a more approprite way of expressing that) being more resilient than boy sperm and they live longer so can hang around a bit more for ovulation.
Not sure if that's how it works we think we conceived bang on ovulation but as you can see we had a girl

Google Shettles method, I think it has a 70-80% success rate. Good luck.

We conceived a day before or on the day of ovulation and had a girl.

We followed Shettles method this time around (even did the diet) for fun more than anything, EXCEPT for the time I actually conceived as it was just after my grandad died so I wasn't exactly thinking about it all lol
I hate to tell you too, that Science says if you have more than 2 boys in a row, the chance of getting boys for the subsequent pregnancies is around 75%

Ha ha, yip I joke that if I do fall preggy it will proberly be twin boys, watch this space lol.
Wow, busymum 3 little pink things & so cute, if you have another girl & I have a boy, swaps will be on the cards. lol. Congrats on #4.
Funny how things work out. I thought all 3 of mine would be pink had girls named picked out. I have been getting rid of my blue stuff & going to try hard out this year as this is the last year I have given myself for any more babies. So if lucky enought to have another & its a boy its all good.
But am starting tonight, so watch out DH, haha.

Can honestly say I don't know. Tried for a girl baby and have ended up with twin boys so now I'll have four boys. I wonder if it really can be planned! Good luck though

We were trying for a BOY - but had another girl.
DH tried alsorts of things, including wearing tight undies. So I suppose if your man wears boxers it might do the trick!
