Does anyone follow the politics of this world??

I was watching CNN last night with a friend and it was bringing in the results of Super Tuesday. Man it was confusing I kinda get the jist of it but the way we do things is so much easier to to understand.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I'm kinda following it, and finding it kinda scary that the actions of Americans and who gets to be president will effect the rest of the world.

I want Hillary to win, but its a tough call between the first woman and the first black president.

Hilary Clintons autobiography is a very interesting read, and although I didnt know much about US politics before I read it, I found it quite educational and really enjoyed it!

I'm backing Hillary - wouldn't mind reading her book, might have to get it out of the library or see if my friend has access to it at her work.

I think McCain will win - don't see them being ready for either a black or a woman president

I think Clinton will get in- because shes famous. If McCain gets in the world is going to become a very scary place! That guy is even more war hungry than George

They take far too long about it all so it gets too boring, especially when it's not even for our own country

I'm an Obama girl. Or Clinton as a second choice.

I try to follow - but I'm a bit slack.

I have been following the US elections for a while now and although I'm happy with the way we vote for parliament I think their way is good too.

In America you only get a few choices when it comes to voting at the presidential election: The democrats vs. republicans and sometimes there's some small guy in there too who shouldn't have run in the first place because there's no way he'd ever get in. From what I understand (and I may be wrong) what they're doing now is deciding who's going to represent their parties - like if we decided out of a few who was going to represent labour and national in the next election.

The bonus of doing things this way is there's less of a choice on election day. Eg. Did anyone else vote for local council last year? In Wellington we had a gazillion people wanting to be mayor Kerry got in again but if we'd narrowed down the cadidates opposing her first she may not have because everyone that didn't want to vote for Kerry would have voted for the other instead.
