Firstly a big hug to you. I can imagine you are very overwhelmed right now. Its definately going to take time for this to settle with you but you will get there.
I was embarrased when I got pregnant with my boy as he was a big surprise but try not to over think what people will think. IT a precious life that is going to bless your life and people should see it like that way.
Try being gentle on yourself. It will all work its way out.

hey mrshouse...
first of all (((((hugs))))) to you
my kids are so spaced apart it felt like having an only child each time so im not gonna comment on something i havent experienced but im sure you'll get plenty who are on here soon..
what i do want to say is this....for some mystic reason fate only deals the hand that it knows we can handle...our second son has autism and at the time we thought why us we cant do this....but looking back we are awesome parents for him and its obvious now why it happened to us.
you guys must be more than capable...even if it tests you to the limit...what doesnt kill us makes us stronger
good luck xx

mum to mr 16 & mr 10

Hi, sending hugs to you too - I guess I would say do a test if you haven't already or go to the docs - just in case your not pregnant and you are worrying for nothing. Everything happens for a reason and its nobody's business apart from your DH and yourself's (is your mum supporting you???) - we are lucky to be able to have kids think of the couples who can't    My bubs in only 5 months old - but I already want another - just had a disagreement with hubby over this - he just wants 1 but I want 2!!!! What sorts of things have you planned for the year and why can't you still achieve them?

Chic you have plenty of options and without wanting to start a pro-life pro-choice debate I'm just going to say that no one elses opinion matters regarding that issue except yours. You do whats right for you. If you can handle it and want to add to your family awesome if you don't you wouldn't be the first in the world to make a tough, but well thought out decision to do whats best for you and the kids you already have.

Big hugs chic it's not nice having so much weight on your shoulders. Hope your DH gets home soon and makes things seem a little clearer

Firstly congratulations to you and DH. I'm a firm believer that we're only dealt hands that we can deal with and someone out there obviously thinks you are a great Mum.

I can imagine it's all overwhelming at the moment. When is DH home? I'm sure a hug from him will calm the nerves a lot!

Eek I can imagine how scared you must be!  The one bit of advice that I live by is..... Take each day as it comes.  Some days it will seem all too hard, other days it will be sweet and you'll wonder what your were worried about.  Also remember that it takes 9 months to brew a baby, so by then Malia will be 12ish months, and Ane will be closer to 3.  Hugs to you though, things must be overwhelming at the moment especially with your Dh away.  Have you done a HPT to confirm you're pregnant?

Hugs!!! While the initial shock is probably hard to bear, especially on your own (in a way), you will be okay. As for what people think - who cares? People have a lot of opinions about our planned four kids, let alone the spacing and our income. People just have outspoken opinions about everything! Yesterday I met a mum with three kids under three... the youngest were 10 months apart and she confided that the baby was conceived while she was on the pill! So don't be so hard on yourself.

Secondly, get your pg'cy confirmed for sure as the post-baby hormones can be somewhat murky and it's best to know for sure.

Oh boy, big to you chicky. Very hard to be home "alone" with this weighing on your mind. I have nothing to add that the other girls haven't already said but didn't want to read and run.

again

I agree with Lisa85. I am not interested in hearing pro-life/ pro-choice debates either, but luckily in NZ you DO have a choice and its nobody elses business but yours and your DHs.

And whatever you decide you deserve not to be judged for it.

All the best.

Aww what a shock

I felt the same way as you when I fell pregnant with Caprece but you know even if people do think things they soon get over it. Which ever way you decide to go things will work out they always do.

so yeah i did a test today and got a BFP- so it confirms everything and im pregnant .............its starting to sink in and the advice you have all given has helped me to realise its not the end of the world and so is life........and i think when it comes down to it-its the effort that i put into thinking what others may think that is really getting me down so that out of the way it really is "nobodys business but mine and DH"- (i will remember this line during the next few months)..........

I have no advice really , all I have is lots and lots of big hugs

....but do keep focussing on what you are already telling yourself, at the end of the day no matter what you decide to do there will be people that have an opinion on which decision you make, the only opinion that matters , is yours and DHs , its really nobody elses business.

Lots of hugs hun,and the best of luck
