what having kids would do to my body, relationships, marriage, sanity

If i knew then what hard work being a parent is and how bloody thankless being a mum is...

Well then i would not have done it! If only i knew then!

DH and I say that every night when we go to check on the girls before we go to bed - such demons when awake, such angels when asleep

I was thinking somewhat the same thing today.

But then I go in and look at my little sleeping babies and they are so worth it I wouldn't be without them.

I don't regret having Kahtrell. He is my proudest accomplishment....and yes he tests my patience on a daily basis!...but he is totally awesome. Having him turned my life down a different path. I had that drive to return to studying again.

It's a kids job to wind their parents up, and wreek havoc!....but God wouldn't bless us with these beautiful gifts if he didn't think we were up to it.

hey Bizzy, hope you are doing OK.
If I had a crystal ball and could see into the future as what life was like with kids - i would have done it a bit differently! Maybe waited a bit longer and had a bit more time overseas. But I wouldnt be without my girls now - such a challenge, but I like a good challenge!!

I'm feeling the same way, am just so totally over it all. I know understand why sometimes my mum would just leave the house for a while, cos we were all ungrateful little bastards as well. That's also when my Dad would suddenly get us all cleaning and tidying (and do some himself), so just goes to show that never changes either cos my DH only helps when I'm pissed off and hasn't yet worked out that if he helped in the first place I wouldn't get the arseholes.

I actually think perhaps we should let our hubby's, partners, or fathers of the kiddies know that we are putting our leave forms in and that we will be leaving everything in their capable (perhaps sometimes not capable but we are at the not caring stage) and that we will be leaving for a holiday. No kids or dirty laundry or any guys welcome to join and we might come back after a week or 2, depending on how quickly we miss our loved ones but right now we need a break.

You want to come with me Bizzy? Just dont know what Andrew will think of hubby's boobs and no milk in them.

It gets easier as they get older and some days you have those magical moments when they are all playing nicely. You just need to hang onto those moments. And when you are having a bad day remember the day will end, they will be in bed asleep, and you will be able to sit down and put your feet up and take some time out.
