Topic: So hes gone... Posted: 06 January 2008 at 3:20pm |
At 12pm today DH got on the Army bus to head to Waiouru. So now I am counting down till we get to see him again at Onwards Day - which is his graduation from Intial Offical Training.
Now begins the fun for me and the boys.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Good luck Becks! The first time with them away (no matter how long) is always the hardest. It does get easier. Big hugs!

Yeah Fleury, maybe that's what I meant... you get used to it! Which actually takes a bit of getting used to as well funnily enough. You go through 'it'll get better' and then when it does it's like 'I don't want to get used to this because it's not normal'.
Best piece of advice someone gave me when DH and I first had to go through him being away was 'it's not your average normal, you need to find a new normal and be OK with it'. Just think of the money he'll be earning as an officer once he passes out of training!
