if you found out your husband/partner was a tranny?

I watched that doco last night and it got me thinking. One of the couples had been married 7 years before he came out to his wife and she stayed with him and his female self she saw as her sister and his male self as her husband. She was only intimate with his male side but some of the other couples were more open than that.

I've thought about it and for me it wouldn't be a deal breaker, I would be a little annoyed that it had been hidden for so long, and probably weirded out for a while but I think that we could get over it and accept it.

What about you?

I watched some of that lastnight.

I dont think i could accept that my husband/partner was a tranny aye. It would just be way too disturbing finding out they did that. Also i would be pissed they lied to me for so long (if it were after a long time, if they told me straight up id be outta there).

I think it would take a bit of time to accept it, just cause it was hidden etc but I think I would end up being ok with it

I didn't watch the doco but thinking about it, I don't know!
On one hand, its still the man that I love and as long as his feelings for me haven't changed, the love for each other is still there.
On the other hand, this is a whole different side to his personality that I don't know. I guess I'd just have to give it some time and see how I felt once I'd lived with it for a while.

Don't think I could do it... I love DH more than words could say but I married a MAN not a tranny/female.

So probably be a deal breaker for me - but would think rather hard about it as I'd feel I would want him still to be there for the kids.

I think I would struggle if my DH had kept it a secret for so long ... ie through 6 years of dating/living together/marriage. I would hope that he would have told me anything like that BEFORE we walked up the aisle

The actual tranny/dressing up as a female part, well I don't think it would bother me hugely if he was open with me about it, rather than keeping it a secret.

DH asked me the same thing last night when we were watching that doco, would I leave if I found out he was a tranny?.. "I said hell yes..there are already too many annoying things about you and that would be the last straw!" haha

lol.

My Dh doesn't have the legs to be a woman, he also rarely shaves so would be a bearded lady

The secret keeping thing is a biggy but after watching last night I did understand why the guy hadn't said anything as he thought he could stop doing it once in a relationship etc and then as time goes on it gets harder and harder. He only owned up when she threatened to leave cos she thought he was having an affair. The other couples the women knew before entering the relationship so that's a different kettle of fish.

dunno

OT but we were talking about high schools around the world today and apparently in Thailand, over 20% of school boys are "open-minded" gtowards gender and so they now have "male" "female" and "transgender" toliets in the high schools.

Well I have seen photos of my husband dressed in drag (he won a scooter and a case of V for it), but that was a one off.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

My cousin married a tranny, she didn't know she came home one day and found him prancing round the house in her undies. She freaked out and he said "well they look better on me" She left.

My friend went through that a few years ago and was married to him for 2 years.

My husband wouldn't look good as a female
