YAY for summer!! I've spent the last 3 days outside gardening and Brenna just hangs out there with me. I have found that she crawls properly on the grass (she's normally doing comando style)

LOL Anna, Isla crawls like a spider on the grass. Mercedes likes to spider crawl heaps too. And Sienna is happy just to bottom bounce along, altho I've noticed her crawling a couple of times today. I don't want her to crawl, shuffling is so much cuter!

Is anyone else having tantrum issues with there child???
Ethan just squawks when he doesn't get what he want, usually when he can't play with the electrical sockets, or brush his teeth constantly....
I just don't really know what to do with him,,,he seems too young to be so stubborn.

Oh my gosh! I dont feel ready to be Mum to a toddler yet! Wheres my wee baby gone?!
Lol Emma! Isla did the spider thing on the lino today, cos she ran away when I was cnaging her, and she was only were a top and nappy, and the lino was cold on her legs!
Lol Natalie! Isla has been demonstrating her personality loud and clear for a while now too! She even told my Mum off for taking her own mobile ph off Isla, by banging her hand on the table and growling at her in baby talk! He he!
Isla has been very unsettled and miserable the past week (well last week was even worse than the week in Palmy!)with an ear infection/glue ear. She seems to be better the last 2 days tho, and she was only awake twice last night, thank goodness!
Hope everyones having a good weekend.

Yes James has been having tantrums for the last couple of weeks he goes all stiff and screams I just leave him to it and gets over it pretty quick but if its constant and I have had enough of it i put him to bed for a couple of minutes it seems to calm him down.
I hope Isla gets better soon Kellz.
Daylight savings has got me in a right funk today.

There go the developmentally delayed gremlins again, they're not having tantys yet LOL But Maya sure was by a year old so I'm sure they'll get the idea soon. I always found (and still do) that ignoring is the best policy - it just ain't the same when no one is paying attention to you!
The gremlins are now kamikaze pilots in the bath, they spend the entire time trying to climb out of the bath or pull themselves up on the taps. They're pulling to stand much more confidently now, Sienna was even brave enough to let go and hold on with one hand but Mercedes just stands there lik "ok, now what?"
Other than that pretty uneventful here, went to see SIL and BIL today and they were pretty well behaved, altho they are generally pretty feral. Taking them back to the doctor tomorrow to get their ears etc. checked as they are snotty as anything and grumpy and grizzly, have cut some teeth on top tho and now have six each.
Hope Isla is doing better now Kellz!
And sorry I missed all the drama with Ella's MCU Andie, sorry it was so awful for you but glad Jono was able to go with you and that the results look promising. I found it really frustrating that they wouldn't tell me anything after the MCU but the fact that they kept asking how long until we saw the specialist was a pretty good sign that something was up, and what do you know 10 days later she was in surgery. When is Ella's follow up?
We're having a playdate with Kaia tomorrow!

LOL Anna that reminds me that today BIL was putting the dogs collar over Sienna's head and she was going "arf, arf" and when he took it off she put it back over her head again and again.

Hi there October mums!
Wow I can't believe our babies are almost toddlers. Sorry I haven't posted in here in ages. Lots of stuff being going on! Being busy renovating our property and also just brought another rental property of which I am the property manager of so it has been a bit of a learning experience dealing with tenants etc and changing around paperwork.
Anyways enough of that!
Ollie is still not showing any signs of crawling - we have encouraged him by trying to show him how to crawl but he just isn't interested. He will probably end up being a bum shuffler - in fact I think most of us were in our family. He has good balance on his feet though and when he's in his walker he can stand for a while. His favourite thing to do at the moment is clapping his hands, and chattering away. He has also just started having the random tantrum which was a little embarrassing today when we were out at a very busy cafe and all of a sudden he shrieks!! I had a few stares from some old women but I thought "get over yourself women!"
Ollie has been sick on and off for the last 3 weeks with colds, vomiting bugs and temperatures. He has just started coming right the last several days so that's great.
It's great to read the progress on all the October bubs. Let's hope that the next year all the toddlers will be nice and healthy!
PS - Ollie still has NO TEETH!!! He has had all the classic symptoms but still nothing. Hubby was 12 months old when he got his first teeth so perhaps in the next few weeks ha ha!
How is everyone's party plans coming along? We are going to be having a combined house warming and 1st birthday and will have a BBQ. We are thinking that we might hire one of those blow up castle type things (not sure what they are called exactly) to entertain the kids. I will probably make a cake with the Number 1 on it.
Sorry this is a long post!
I will try and post a bit more regularly now - the slacker that I am.

Wow Millie, you're getting a bouncy castle for it?! That is sooo every kid's dream! Awwww and Brenna is such a character, Anna. Cutie cutie. Emma we don't have a follow-up appointment made - slack MidCentral Health. I must have asked so many times how I'd get the results and when, and came to the conclusion that I'll go get them from our GP in a week-ish. I've been in there a fair bit anyway... Miss Ella had diahorrea for a week, with a bit of vomiting thrown in for good measure. Ugh, I'd find myself feeling nauseous by lunch-time every day, then I realised of course I felt like that - look at what I'd been cleaning up all morning!! Thanks to eating nothing but bananas with banana farex, and gastrolyte syringed in, she's on the mend now.
Natalie, Ella's a tanty-thrower too. Anyone else find their tantrums kinda funny sometimes, or is that just me?!
...have an awesome gremlin-Kaia playdate, ladies! And Kellz - has Isla's mood improved over the weekend? Hope she's a box of fluffies today for ya

HI everyone James and I would like to say a BIG Happy Birthday month to all his wee October Buddies and hope everyone has great Birthdays and can't wait to see pics of their special days.
Well we had to rush James to the Dr yesterday afternoon I picked him up and he felt really hot took his temp and it was 39.6 and he was really lethargic and dopey he has an ear infection so is being drugged on antibiotic and pamol and some nose drops and but he seems to be a lot better today.
Glad to hear Isla is better today Kellz.
