Well ladies this is turning out to be one of those yucky old days.

Feeling quite down about the whole baby thing. Sod it all!

I have a very good friend who is pregnant and she was telling me all about her scan and I battle with feeling totally over the moon for her and really jealous. Just makes me feel really awful feeling like that with someone who is really close to you. I would never tell her that obviously but just makes me feel like a bad friend you know?

Anyway, the ups and downs of TTC huh.

See ya later

Im just waiting on a specialist appt (Been TTC for 1 year with no success). I know what you mean it's really hard watching everyone else around you having babies and trying to be happy on the outside and trying your best not to burst into tears! Don't get me wrong.. I am really happy for them, but on the other side I can't help the "Why not me? questions...

To make it worse, I'm the youngest person where I work (Lol 28 years old!), and a lot of my workmates have kids my age! I am constantly being asked "are you pregnant yet?", "when are you having babies?", "I had had all my children by the time I was your age!" Still I guess they're not to know...

Am hopefully starting clomid when I get to see the specialist... G.p agrees its the best option but she wants to leave it to the experts which seems fair enough to me....

Still, it will be our turn soon, we just HAVE to keep believin it

Hi Mindy,

I was the same as you. DH and I have been trying for a year and went to fertility doc for the first time in October and they put us on clomid.

It will all come together for us! This damn roller coaster takes us all over the place.

Don't you love people at work that do that? At work last Friday one guy is watching with eagle eyes what I drink...it is like sod off would you!

Let us know how you go. All the very best

Why do people think that they have a right to intrude in our lives? Thats what i love about this site! People actually know how I feel because they are gong/ have gone through it too!

How did you get on at your first appt? Did they put you on clomid that day or did you have to wait? I haven't had an ultrasound yet, but am really hoping to move forward quickly with things! Tired of waiting!

Oh I know the whole waiting thing is totally frusturating.

We went to fertility doc because after 9 months of trying we decided to get checked. I am 34 and DH is 38. My hubby had two sets of swimmer tests done a month apart and his doc said the motility and morphology were quite low so we rang Fertility Associates and had to wait for a month to see them. Once there the doc said that he was happy with his results, did a scan on me and was happy with that and thought clomid would be a good option before going down an IVF path.

He put it down to an unexplained infertility situation.

We were thinking we would go in and it would be all bad news so that was quite positive.

I was lucky enough that my period was due within a day or so of the appointment so I could start the clomid straight away although I had too many follicles last month so am on 25mg this month to see if I can get just 2 follicles.

When is your appointment?
Love to hear how it all goes.

How frustrating! All that work to get the follicles and then get told you have too many!
Um my G.P only referred me yesterday.. so I'm guessing it will be a little while away. Dr said that she referred someone else last week and they got an appt for beginning of Dec. Fingers crossed!

I will def keep you posted, keep me posted with yours too Good luck

Totally frusturating!
I was like let's go for it but DH had to do the practical male thing and say you really want the risk of triplets.......yeah ok then that would be pretty huge so onto this month.

That time will fly.
Especially at this time of year and your appointment will be here before you know it.

Wishing you lots of speedy days and good luck

Hahaaaaa!

yeah that is definitely something to have a giggle about.

After all the poking and proding us ladies have to go through it is like get over it and get that sample sorted

We had to get a sample to the medlab on a saturday so I said to him umm do you want me to help or you want me to leave you alone. He wanted to be left alone so I said I would take the dog for a walk but i was dithering about cause it was about to rain and I could see him getting stressed and then he said would you just hurry up!! ok ok i said and quickly took the dog out......then we were cruising down the motorway and he had forgotten to write the time on the little jar so he had to fish it out of his jeans and pass me the bottle to write on it....oh we laughed and laughed.

Day 18, and still no ovulation....... Been testing since day 10, has anyone ovulated earlier than that on Clomid? have they missed it with the tests?

I have been ovulating each cycle but thought this was going to speed it up, specialist does not know what is going on. On 25mg this month, so may have to up dose next month!

hi ladies how is everyone going. I had bloods today and estrogen 600. Not sure what that represents, except last month was 2000 estrogen level and 5 follicals. I have a scan tomorrow tosee how many follicals and if we can try this month. Just a bit down today - I really feel like this is never going to happen!!

Hey there,

I know what you mean Bree, I was like that last week. That whole..how long is this going to take!!..It gets really frusturating. We will all get there though. Let's hope this month is our month!
Good luck with the scan today. Love to know how it all goes.

Dotty, bizarre about the ovulation? I have read that the clomid does sometimes play around with our cycles. Am sure it will happen, might just be a bit late.

I am due for blood test on Friday so hopefully a scan will happen over the weekend. Hoping for just the 2 follicles this month.

Take care.

Fingers crossed Dotty- I have read that it can take a couple of cycles to tweek out some issues and get dosages right... though again not sure if that exactly correct- you've got to weed out what you read on the net don't you?

Bree let us know how you go with your scan- fingers and toes crossed for you

Hi
No still waiting, the dr said she would send the referral that day, though last time a dr said that she would send a referral for a scan I went back to her about 2 months later to find the referral was never sent! (Again this wasn't my usual G.P- though different one to the last one I saw). I will never go back to her, here I was upset about fertility troubles and she was stroking her pregnant tummy the whole time- though I don't think shw was aware that she was doing it, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt......
Might give specialists a ring to see if they recieved referral on about Wed if I haven't heard anything. Dont want to be pushy but got burned last time.... DH going to sort out his tests this week.

How are things with you?

Fully understand your concern there
We rang up and made the appointment ourselves and then just took a referral letter along with us.

Good idea to give them a call cause you may find you can actually do it yourself?

Oh great that DH is getting his tests done. It isn't that great for guys but once it is done it is done so fingers crossed on that.

I had a bit of a bad day last week getting all down about things and frusturated but managed to get out of that and back on track now. Roller coaster of a ride this trying to get pregnant stuff.

Get blood test on Friday for Day 10 of my cycle to see if I need to get a scan done so fingers crossed this month we don't have to skip trying again.....waiting waiting

Good luck with that appointment. Love to hear how it all goes

I went to DH work dinner and people there kept saying the "When is it your turn your turn to have a baby" etc *sigh* sooo tired of that, its getting really old really quick! I fobbed it off all night saying "I'd rather have a puppy" which of course we know that is way further from the truth, however wasnt about to explain it to them! DH was good he held my hand under the table... DH and I are both 28,

You too Flipsta, fingers crossed we head into the BFP segment together

Flipsta, just rung the specialist, I have my appt for 22 Dec- gonna make things awkward trying to do the tests etc over Xmas.... Really thought it would be sooner, so I'm not really suitable for this forum, I guess I'll log out of this (one til fingers crossed) 22 Dec.

Good luck ladies, I'll lurk in and out
