Hi,

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but felt i should tell what has happened.

I went to the specialist yesterday for a follow up & scan, as two weeks ago (i would have been 7 weeks then) we didn't see a lot on the ultra sound. since then i've had blood tests for HCG levels and the results are not good and an Ultrasound confirmed it. The pregnancy has not taken, we have a pregnancy sac but nothing is growing in there, we were at 9 weeks.
I am going in on Wednesday for surgery to have it removed, rather than wait for it to miscarry in its own time.

My Husband and I are dealing with this, by staying positive as we now know we can get pregnant as it took nearly 2 years to get to here. The specialist has been great, saying she'll give us 3 months on our own, before looking into other options, which at this stage would be Clomid or similar.

I want to thank you all for your support and advice to date, and i won't become a stranger to the site, i'll still pop in and check on how everyone is doing.

Mel

oh Im sorry to hear that. The same thing happened to us and I opted to have the d&c rather than wait. I think that helped bring a bit of closure rather than sitting waiting for it to happen naturally plus my cycle went back to normal almost straight away which meant we could try again quickly. good luck and I hope things go better next time (and Im sure there will be a next time)
