Ok so not sure where to put this, but I am having the worst baby ache's now. I really want another baby ,but I know i have to wait a bit longer. Has anyone else felt like this? What did you do to make it go away? I am almost in tear's about this whole thing and think about it nearlly all the time I know so many people that are Pregnant at the moment which does not help.

I'm sure a lot of us feel that way. I know I certainly do!. I mostly miss being pregnant, it's such an amazing experience. I would love to just keep popping babies out lol, but I know that I really need to achieve other goals before bringing another life into this world (like returning to Uni and finishing a degree) things that I should have achieved already but got sidetracked. I really would love to be pregnant again but I want to be able to enjoy this time I have with my son. Then again at the mo I'm doing the 2 week wait (not that I want to) I just don't want to miss out on things with Kahtrell because I'm having to devote all my time to a new baby, Plus the majority of the time I feel like a solo parent (even though I have a partner) I do everything for baby, we even go on family outings by ourselves, just me and my son. Baby is lucky to even have one hour of his dad's time a day. Quite sad really, even though I know he's working on starting up his own business, and works during the day, but you'd think for those reasons he would want to spend time with us out n about. Anywhooos from just pondering on that thought I think it's not the right time for me, I can just imagine it, with no support from my partner I definitely would be a solo parent...... Hmmm don't think I helped lol. But least you know that you're not alone :)

I have moments of feeling the same way, and other moments I think "I am soooo never doing this again!"
I used to worry that it would never go away and I would just keep having baby after baby and still never fix that longing, but a friend who has just had her last baby told me that she feels done now, that the longing is absolutely and completely gone.

I totally understand...there are times when I want to start trying for number 2 so bad it hurts....even on the bad days with Maddie...i love being a mum! Still I know that sensibly after my c-section I need to wait a year (and don't want to face the wrath of Monique my gp/lmc) so I'm sitting on my hands.
I think it really is totally normal though!
As a friend of mine suggested....there needs to be a pill to pluck the cluck!!!

Debs, I went through that sooooo bad last year, I knew mikes decision was 2 kids, and no more, and when he actually booked himself in for that vasectomy I thought , well, that's it then. (obviously it wasn't through some weird twist of fate!) But when all the people who had their bubs at the same time as I had Ayja, were all becomming preggers again, or even having babies, or some were going on to have their 3rd.. I had the worst baby aches. My sister told me the other day she remembers me saying to her after mike had his vasectomy that"I can't help but think there's a little boy out there waiting for us".. which sounds so stuuupid. We definately had not planned this #3, and it freaked me out completely. But somehow, i do know now, that after this one, those baby aches might come back a little once it gets past the baby stage, but 3 is my complete limit now.
I just got on with what i had to do, ha ha, and found a job working with bubbas.. I know you plan to be a SAHM.. maybe you could volunteer sometimes to look after other peoples babys as a babysitting service etc.. it fulfils the want to give a cute baby a cuddle but it's nice to give em back.
The nice thing i spose you can remember is that you wil have more, just not right now. I focussed on having as much fun with my girls as i could, even though they don't need me much for th elittle things any more, they need me to expand their minds and teach them all the big stuff now - which is pretty scary. So have fun with your boys, and know that when the time is right it will happen again and you'll have 2 wonderful big brother helpers there to help you out!.

mmm i know - sometimes io think we are so far looking ahead that we miss all the present stuff though. I have learnt now to just sit back and watch the girls and marvel at what wonderful kids they are.. if i do say so myself.
