I'm back home now... I stayed the first hour with her. I'd hoped to only stay 30 minutes, but as she was still holding onto my trousers, I knew that wasn't going to work!
When I left, she was sitting at her new desk, doing some writing ("f", "F", "9", "Kiya" if you're interested) and she was happy for me to go.
Its a funny kinda feeling - she's my little girl! yet she's a big girl now!  I don't have any friends in Ohakune I can go and visit, so I'm chatting to you girls with my drink.

Well, I went to pick Kiya up early at 1:30 (they have a break from 1:30 till 2) and she wanted to stay for the rest of the day! Suzi (her teacher) said that Kiya's been fine, and so she's still there!
Suzi is also our neighbour, and today her husband is home so she's dropping her kids home after school. She's going to drop Kiya off home too!

Happy belated birthday kiya!!! love the cake, and as for the pic of her in her uniform? good grief made me want to cry! shes adorable!shes not old enough to be at school....hope she enjoys it.
reminds me of an interview with reese witherspoon talking bout how her daughter Ava is starting school soon " i talk myself thru it..i think,ill take her to school-and i wont cry , i'll walk her into her classroom-and i wont cry, i'll say hello to her teacher-and i wont cry, i'll give her a kiss and say goodbye...and i wont cry-i'll hop into my car and look at her empty carseat and THEN i will cry!" aaaah bless

She's loving it, Roksana! Tells me that I can go after I get her there in the morning, doesn't want to finish early (which is still an option as she gets used to the longer day) and looks forward to the next school day! She couldn't wait for the weekend to be over so that she could go back to school!

Awwww thats sooo cool.
I am glad she isnt like my brother, who insisted that mum stayed outside his door so that he can see her. I hope Zaara is like Kiya when she finally goes to school!!!
