Topic: She refused me! Posted: 29 November 2007 at 7:35am |
Kryssi's overnight routine goes a bit like this:
dinner, bottle, bed (7.30pm), wake (about 6.45am), breast feed, breakfast.
This morning at 6.45 she plain out refused me! Shut lips, pushed away, only wanted to play
So much for planning to drop the morning feed over the Christmas holidays.... I think my DH might need to wake up a bit earlier for baby breakfast time!
I'm still shocked that she refused me... after 11 hours of empty tummy

Char refused me this morning as well, and once yesterday, but only one side. Has fed about three times since though... Weird, these girls...

Aww how sad, kinda. I was really sad when Jack refused me but then after a week was kinda glad to have my girls back to myself.

It's sad hey. Gabrielle has just weaned as of this week. She hasn't been into it and 2 nights ago she bit me so I decided that was it. It's a funny feeling...freeing but sad.

Ouch!!!
It just was weird. I'm not too worried though as I feel she's old enough to go without. And I'd like my breasts to settle in "proper" size (whatever that is) so I can wear some nicer bras!!!

She accepted today! Couple of weeks, I think. She's not feeding for long at all.

Ok she was fluffing around too much today. She's not interested. And after not feeding her for 48 hours pre-yesterday morning, I didn't even feel 'full'. So she's obviously not interested and I think it's all over from now.
Gosh... the end....

If you are happy to finish up then all good.
Breast strikes are actually really common though where bubs can go off boobie for up to a week! I had it with my boy & thought it was all over but nup he changed his mind 5 days later and we were back into it again.
I had a think about it & I've been continuously breastfeeding for over 3 years now and I still have anotheer 3 years to go if my plans stay the same....

Elle had a little feed again last night. She is very sick ATM. Interesting...she has only had 2 very very minor colds in 15mths and now suddenly as we wean she gets really really sick! I think in our case breastmilk must have helped her immunity.
Are you feeling ready for weaning busymum?

Yea I am. I was getting a bit sore (nipples) from little milk and grown-up suckling (grown up baby, not the other!!) Was just going to wait until Christmas to help DH out in the early breakfast department lol but I'm decided now and today I enjoyed wearing an un-maty bra
