If it makes you feel better there was a thing on campbell a little while ago about first childs being more intelligent etc, poss cos of the one on one they get before the siblings arrive.
I do feel like i'm experimenting on Spencer sometimes, but then it will probably be the same when we have another as we will probably have all diff problems and a different little personality to contend with. I also worry a bit about breastfeeding next time, would like to give it another go but think I will feel guilty if it works out because I stopped with Spencer, will even more stink if I don't try again though....so can't win really.

To some extent... but to another degree they are all different and we have had so many more challenges with #2 just because we had to re-learn parenting, almost!

jack got things that charli didn't get...like more one on one attention, new stuff, more toys etc....charli is alot more work than jack too especially when she was younger..and now she's climbing on things when jack didn't climb until he was 2
i think with every child it's trial and error as they are so different

Kids always say stuff like that. Just give him some extra cuddles and let him know that you love him just as much as you always have and always will.
I'm sure you did a fantastic job with Bay, you wouldn't worry about stuff if you were a bad mum.

its just certain things that bug me that i think "how could i have been so stupid!!?" like sleeping him in our bed until he was 4 months old!! , letting him sleep so much that he ended up under nourished!!! and a few other things that i shouldnt mention because it sounds so rediculous!!
I guess when (haha WHEN!?) we have another child there will be things that i will get right with him that il think i was terrible for not doing it with Astin!.......
I just needed to know that i wasnt the only one that felt like my first bubs got the shaft through lack of knowledge!

Just remember that the youngest kid gets away with more! (Well that's what happened in our family! My brother got away with things that I didn't, being the eldest!).

Yep Andrew was ours. Mum told me that I was theres. There were so many things my sisters got away with that I didn't when I was a teenager.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Yeah I so think Jack was a trial and error child, there were so many things i didn't know. But then again Caprece is so different (and a lot more work) so shes a bit of trial and error too. If I ever (really tiny chance) had another one hopefully I'd know what I was doing.
I actually feel like I really let myself down with Capreces birth because I thought I knew what to expect but hers was so much more intense and quicker I didn't handle it as well as I feel I should of

i find myself more at an odds with Taine cause i feel like "your brother did things this way . why don;t you do it like him!!!" jake slept really well - although we didn't really know that at the time, and wasn't affected by his teeth, Taine is a different kid and reacts diferently so really i think each kid is trial and error.
