Wow that is amazing. I guess depending on where they are carrying the placenta can mask the movement as well as Mel has said we still get the fluttering of a baby moving when it is only gas.

I was able to hide my pregnancy when I was at course as I was carrying all over so not hard to do. No one found out till I was 8mth preg with Mercedes that I was even carrying and I was with them all day 5 days a week. I know it is different from these ladies as they didnt know themselves  but it shows how you can see people and not know they  are pregnant even 8mths along.

A relly found out she was pregnant when she went into labour - and she was a nurse.

if you don't suspect it then you wouldnt think of pregnancy to explain any symptoms.

As to feeling kicking, I know loads of peopel that have felt nothing or as good as during their pregnancies. I ended up on monitoring because bubs was hardly felt.

Wow that is scary but have heard of this happening quite a few times. I can understand how you could not know if you didn't get any symptoms or felt any kicking.

wOw that's amazing.. Poor lady hopefully she comes to terms with the shock and her new baby. If not adopting out may be the answer.
We were going to go on the wait list just before i found out we were preg with Luke. Have friends who can't have kids who are waiting. It may be something to think about.... may not. Any way hope all works out
It would be freaky to suddenly have a baby with out all the pre planning and time that you usually have!!!

Poor lady

A girl I went to school with didn't know she was preg until she went into labour, she was only young too and totally in shock so she adopted the baby out.

My MIL works in the womens health part of chch womens and she said once a lady came in who looked kinda pregnant and in pain but must of been indenial cos she was totally shocked when she found out she was 29 weeks.

Actually, i also know a girl that hid her pregnancy from her parents, her parents didnt know she was pregnant til she was in labour -and even then, between each contraction, she was denying it!
Wonder if after the baby was born she said to her parents "im NOT pregnant.......anymore!" haha

When i was 8 and a half months as a dare,(and looking very pregnant) i went and asked for a pregnancy test at the chemist,oh the look on the poor guys face

I guess if your not expecting or trying to fall pregnant then you wouldn't think anything of it if you felt some strange movements in your tummy.
I've heard of this happening to so many people but I've always wondered how it could happen, how could you not actually know. But it seems to be really common.

I guess it depends on your pre-preggie size. There is no way in this world I could get to even 5mths without knowing I was preggers so that made it really hard for me to understand at first. However, if I imagine being bigger and having periods, I'd probably think the kicks were just gas bubbles.

It's quite amazing to not notice any weight gain...are the people who this happens to quite big around the tummy?
