I'm not actually an empower customer anymore, I switched providers last year, but I just received a phone call from them saying that last week due to a computer glitch a whole heap of letters were generated and sent out in error and I will be receiving a final demand asking for $500 very soon. He told me to ignore it and apologised for the inconvenience.
What fantastic customer service! I think that might have been the first time a company I've dealt with has identified an error and preempted complaints by calling all those affected infact when sky sent me an incorrect account I had to pay the full amount and then they credited it back to my bill a month later.
Well done empower.
