Yeah, you sign the certificate in your maiden name - however it's "proof" enough that your name (and therefore your signature) has changed. I've had problems with setting up out trusts etc in the last year and a half, they like to see photo ID, and all mine says old name! Not good when it's for your future children and you want it to be YOUR family trust IYKWIM? Also the bank had a hissy fit one day about not having proof of my signature, weird, as changed my name with them at the start.

nzpiper yeah i didn't know either..i went to the bank with the one i signed at the wedding and she said oh no not that one...send away for one(which i discovered just now i could have just got that other one certified) but now we have one like a birth certificate that i can take places with me..but would just be easier if i got my license done as well:) even though its got 5 years to run!

catherine- yeah banks are a pain..that's the other reason i want to change so that when i set up things for Ethan we all have the same name.
Mum to two amazing boys!
