I have had a few mums tell me the Aveeno cream is really good cos of the menthol, so it stops them itching. Is the hydrocortisone working?

Han's got infected one time and the only thing that would heal it was antibiotics. It looked really really sore.

Keep her nails as short as possible.

The thing that worked for us in the end was antibiotics, then strong hydrocortisone on any redness that flared up (I didn't like the thought of steriod creams but it got that bad ) but mostly trying to work on preventative measures once it was under control... like changing washing powder to sensitive or ecostore and moisturising in likely eczema patches about 600 times a day.

Aqueous cream did absolutely bloody nothing for us. Emulsifying was good as a maintenance thing but won't treat eczema. I had to stick with that tho as I couldn't afford to buy all the other lotions and potions!!

good luck!

I'm a shocker with eczema, been battling it since I was a tot...

I'd say it is the season change over, probably even more so as it's been quite damp - I've had a massive flare-up myself and it's not fun at all.

Aveeno is brilliant, I find I use that straight after showering etc, and I use alpha-keri soap...

Then where my eczema is really bad, i use Lemnis Fatty Cream, which contains a very small amount of hydrocortisone, so it's good for helping clear it up and keeping it at bay.

Hope this helps somewhat... Poor wee chook, eczema sucks!
My wee girl is the love and light of my life!
