id rather have mine than not ,and I know some don't get to have them , or don't live to enjoy them , so im very grateful ,....... but sometimes I could gladly hibernate in a cave till they are grown up ...
Think of it this way , one day , your children may have kids of their own , and then , you can laugh at them .

Hah, that reminds me - DS was wriggling all over the place the other day and I said to my ILs that he's gonna be a handful and was DH hyperactive when he was a kid?
They looked at each other and laughed!!

Kids are always revolting in the week up until Xmas. I remember my mother saying this. It's like the tension and excitement all build up and its too much for them. When Brooke was younger I used to plan big days out at the beach, like a day trip to Piha or somewhere, with a bunch of other Mum's and we'd run them ragged all day long and stay out until about 8pm so they would crash when they got home. It was a bit of a safety in numbers type of thing, you were far less likely to strangle your own child in front of someone.

I'm the opposite, I don't have kids (yet) and that is precisely why we keep putting it off! Life seems so much more pleasant without them |

Yeah they drive you totally batty and make you feel like ripping you hair out and poking yourself in the eyes, then they do something just too sweet (like my two holding hands and giggling in the back of the car) and your heart just melts and it is all worth it.
I must admit from 5pm I am on the countdown to bedtime |

Cause no body wants someone else's kids
I now know why my mum used to send us away with Dad for a weeks camping and stay home. That was her holiday.
