It's crazy how it works. I got sent home because I hadn't had flashing lights in front of my eyes. Yet, I had admitted in the lasr 48 hours to dizziness and mild headaches. Every doctor seems to have their own opinion on what is defined a case for monitoring. I know many women have it worse and they are first priority, but I was told the wards were almost empty.

It is crazy, I'm baffled that they sent you home with all of those symptoms, when last year at Waikato I got admitted for four days and then induced two weeks before my EDD on the weekend (when they only do emergency inductions) and I only had high bp with no other symptoms - no swelling, dizziness, protien or anything! I too was gutted to be put in hospital two days after finishing work, not how I wanted to spend the time before bubs arrived! They were really strict about it too, I kept asking to go home because all I had was the high bp and could come in for monitoring easily. Weird. I hope you get some resolution soon. And I had to do that test too - it sucks! Even more so when you have to do it while staying on the ward and carrying that huge bottle back and forth up the corridor every time you pee! My favourite story is when DH's grandmother came to visit me and caught me on my way back to the room and asked 'what's that dear?' - my PISS grandma! geez! Never ask a patient what's in the brown paper bag at the hospital

Haha Mazzy, I will take that into account. Those pee bottles aren't exactly attractive.

My pee results came back, I don't know much about them as my midwife text me today (she's currently with another women who is in labour), but she said that I have tonight or tomorrow for a natural labour, or monday I am looking at a 1pm appointment for an induction assessment.

Finally!!!

Yay Tara finally some answers. Hopefully you go into labour today or tonight or at least you know that Monday is the day.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Yay, glad things are finally happening for you LL! It's shocking they haven't done anything about it til now. Sucks about the pre-eclampsia, but how exciting you're gonna meet your lil man soon
