Anyssa's wee neck creases are really quite red and a bit spotty.

I've been doing my best to wash and dry it well (it's quite hard to get in there) and have been using weleda calendula lotion for massage all over her body, but the neck isn't getting any better.

Is there anything else I should be doing to manage it, or any products you recommend?

It isn't dry, so I don't think it is excema.

Spencer's neck gets like that now and again from the dribble. I use nutraplus cream on it which is for ezcema but still seems to do the trick. The other thing you could try would be sudocream or something like it so that there is a barrier between the skin and the dribble for a little bit while it heals. I used sudocream on his baby acne when it was getting a bit sore and it really helped.

I use a baby powder and just rub a small amount of her neck....can't remember the name (it's her room and she is trying to sleep at the moment so I can't check), but it has blue & white packaging and I got it from the chemist- works well for us. |

Whatever you use for nappy rash is probably what it will need. I used talc a bit to dry it out. It's not too much to worry about.

If it gets smelly and oozy go to the dr for some special cream. Both my babies have really chubby faces so would always get gross necks, I tried everything and nothing really prevented it.

Only keeping it dry can prevent it, and it's impossible to keep dry........ Pawpaw cream works, and if it gets icky like Rachandjack says, then the Dr will give Micreme for it. Thats what I have for my two.

Gina used to get that too, we tried our best to keep it clean & dry & moisturized (Mustela) but it really only improved once her neck was longer and the folds gone.

Ewww, you just reminded me how scummy the gremlins necks used to get when they were smaller. I didn't put anything on it tho, just made sure to clean it really well so it didn't get nasty.

Thanks guys. It's quite a lot better today, so I'll continue to make sure she is well washed and dried and moisturised. She is also starting to cooperate a bit more when I'm trying to get in there!
