i asked my mw about this the other week and she said it is becoming less common to test for it now and she would if i wanted to but otherwise she wasnt too worried about it. i think if you had a history of it then you should tho.

i tested pos for strep b during a routine smear, and the doctor said there was no point treating it unless i was pregnant, so once i was pregnant, told the midwife i had tested pos for it, she didnt redo the test, even though it had been 1 yr since i had tested pos, had the antibotics during labour....and because of this i will need to test for it again when i get pregnant even though ive tested neg for it since.

nothing to worry about Sheza, you do the swab yah self and its painless
