Fiona, would you have time to get the D&C before flying? If you're feeling reasonable and want to go, then i think you should go and take care. It might be just what you need to clear the mind of all this and probably not the best time to be apart from DH.
Good luck with everything.

No probably couldn't have D&C until late tomorrow or early Fri so couldn't fly until Sun or so.
Still no pain...

It'd be $150 for the change + the new ticket would cost much more than our special price for the current one so it'd probably be around $450 all up to change the flight.
I think i'll just go and get checked when I come back next Fri.

Well I can't find anyone who will give me an hcg test and result today (in case the levels are already clearly dropping which I suspect they are) and I can't get hold of anyone to tell me how soon I could get in for a D&C or if I could fly within a few days of one. No one seems to know anything so I think I'll just go tomorrow and hope for the best.

Give healthline a call, they seem to be pretty helpful when I've called before.
Sorry that you're going through this, I hope it's over quickly

Can anyone tell me:
Approx how long will bleeding last? I know it's different for everyone but is it a few days? A few weeks?
The doc said at this stage they'd only expect a few medium sized clots and suspects I've passed most of it now - that is one good thing as it's just been like a period.
I gather danger signs to look for are sudden very heavy bleeding, pain, dizziness, fever etc??
I feel fine (well physically) at the mo. Minor aches only

Brisbane so they have a good hosp there if I need it. It feels to me like things are quietening down internally so I think I might be over the worst. My doc agrees.
I'm able to do the vacuuming etc with no pain or discomort or increased bleeding.

I'm so sorry to catch up on all of this so late, and I know you don't know me from a bar of soap, but I am always sad when I hear of another woman having to go through this kind of thing When I miscarried I would have been close to the same gestation as you FionaS, and my bleeding lasted 8 days in total, with the first four being very heavy / clotty and then slowly tapering off. I know this is probably very obvious, but please take care of yourself, my heart goes out to you

I'm sorry this happened to you.
I started miscarrying on 19 Jan and had brown spotting for about a week then I had three days of heavy bleeding and another day or two of spotting and I think its just finishing up today.

so sorry to hear this has happened to you
I think if you were feeling okish tomorrow then I would go, as you will be with family over there and if there is a hospital near then you know you can get medical attention if you need it.
