Jess, so you should feel that way. She has no idea what happened to you and why you can't BF. How dear she saw anything like that to someone she doesn't know. Is there anyway of tracking her down and giving her a ear full throught the net??

I must say that makes me pretty mad as well, you think people with "the brains" to think up witty comments that are full of knowledge actually know what they are talking about.
I'm with you Jess, we can't help that we couldn't physically breastfeed and no amount of "you should have, you could have" can change that.
Bigoted intolerance just rips my nightie!

Just have a little bit of chocolate, you don't want to let her get to you or let your team down.
Good thing you could delete it, hopefully she doesn't come back again.

Hehe im safe i have no chocolate thanks to the nazi hubby
I have edited my blog so that only registered users can post so if she is determined again ill report her!
Thanks ladies i feel better after venting. I took so long to get used to the idea that i couldnt Breastfeed i had baby blues early like the same day i gave birth coz i was so overwhelmed and thought the world would think i was a bad mother coz i couldnt breast feed. I ended up coming home from hospital early coz i didnt want a new midwife coming in everytime and having to explain the situation it only got me down. I stood in the shower the next morning bawling my eyes out AGAIN coz i couldnt comprehend it. I must have been the only women my midwife has seen get SO excited when i got engorged breasts i thought YAY my milk is here lol But alas it wasnt
Then to have someone like that come along 4 months later and rub that in is rubbing salt into old wounds.
I love my daughter and im actually glad im not BF with her reflux and allergies. It would have made life harder! I applaude and admire women who have children with allergies and still breastfeed!

Dont take it to heart Jess, you know its just some jumped up pro b/fing lady who no doubt thinks her opinion on things is the only way it should be. I hate people like that. Even if you didnt have any medical reason to forumla feed its still your decision and its not going to harm Ella just because you formula fed her. Some people are so narrow minded it makes me mad.
And good on you for not going out and getting chocolate, i probably would have.

What a nasty lady you don't say that to anyone especially people you don't actually know. Try not to let it get you down everyone else knows how awesome a mum you are.

OMG jess. i thought you were joking and I laughed, until i realised you were serious. i can't belive someone would have the audacity to mke those kinda comments. note that those kinda people also don't leave details so you can answer back - cowards.
I know what a big deal it is not to breastfeed. even though physically i could, Taine was so more settled and happier on the formula i made the decision to switch. and even though i talk about how we should think about how we are providing the best care for our babies BY giving them the formula they obviously need, it still felt bad to "give up"
Good on ya for not giving into the chocolate (c'mon red team!!)

Kharma will come back to bite those BFing nutts (the ones that absolutely shove it down your throat!) in the ass!!!!
I couldnt BF my son and no one could tell me why but i persevered for 4 months!!!! to no avail and even after all that trying i still felt like an unbelievable failure!!! i even felt like maybe i shouldve rushed into having another bubs just so i could prove to myself and all those other BF nutts that i could do it!!!
Im not sure what those BF nutts expect those of us that have no choice to formula feed, to do!!!??? struggle along till our children get so melnurished that we have to formula feed!!!!. Dont get me wrong though - i totally have no problem with formula feeding even before i had to do it myself! i just have something against those ladies that are so narrow minded!!
That lady "jill" obviously was never told by her mummy that "If you dont have anything nice to say and its uncalled for then dont say anything at all"!!!!

That is just terrible that anyone would be so heartless. I hope you feel better now. I know how important it is to try to Bf, and I will give it as good a go I can, but I also know people who have been unable to and I get fed up with the people who promote it over and above the mental health of the mother. Grrrrr.

That is so unbelieveably rude and sucky. I hate people that do that. I sincerely hope that anyone on here never mistakes any advice i give for Bf as being pushy. lol. I went through the same thing with Paris and perservered despite all the signs being there that it just wasn't working.. and i was a right mess mentally because of that and a few other things. I did have a good expereince with Ayja though so I do finally know how nice it can be.. but having cuddles giving them the bottle is just as good if not nicer sometimes cos you have all your hands free to give them cuddlysnuggles. I have just found that through working and learning and knowing more and having to help women everyday.. I have a little more knowledge and so am willing to share it.. but yeah...am always willing to give mums the reality as well.. It's fricken hard to learn and sometime syour body just doesn't do what it should.. and theres nothing wrong with formula, most of us were probably brought up on fromula because there was a fad for a while where BF was just "SOOOO uncool" and hey, we all turned out just fine
anyway Jes, I hope you can find out who that nasty piece of work is. What a horrible lady.

Yer in my situation i have PCOS and i got pregnant by taking Clomid. Later on i read that fertility issues crossed with fertility drugs may mean u cant breastfeed but didnt really think anything of it. It wasnt until the lactation consult at the hospital asked me if have PCOS and what not and i said yes and she said well that explains alot.
I can understand how it happens. The body is tricked into ovulating then gets pregnant maybe its just still confused? lol I tried in vain to pump and hand express but nothing, it was horrible.

mum2 Paris, I don't think that anyone would ever take advice the wrong way! I am just disgusted when people are told they are letting their kids down. I mean, we all try so hard to do whatever we can for these babies, then when you can't do something that you really feel you should be able to do people abuse you - grrrr!
Advice from those who have gone before is awesome! I am worried a bit about breastfeeding becasue both of my sister's kids had to go on to formula within 6 weeks due to poor quality milk and bad sucking - I just don't want to get feedback like poor Jezsika has had to suffer!
(The sort of unsolicted comment Jezsika got on her blog makes me think of that terrible sureslim add where they have the baby in the womb and list all the things the mother is doing by being overweight - I would never go to sureslim after that add)
