Nappies
Nappies will be a big part of your life from the time your baby
is born until he or she is toilet trained somewhere between 2-3
years of age. It is estimated that the average baby goes through
around 8000 nappies between birth and toilet training - that's a
lot of nappies!
The first thing you need to do is decide whether you are going
to use cloth nappies or
disposable nappies (or
even a combination of both). There are good arguments for and
against both types of nappies, so check out our comparisons here to
help you decide which is going to work best for you.
Once you have decided, the fun really begins! If you've
never changed a baby before you might be feeling a little
overwhelmed but rest assured you will fast get the hang of it .
There's a reason why newborns are small and immobile - so you
can perfect you nappy changing technique before you have
to try and change a wriggly, unco-operative toddler! And
to help you, we've put together a basic step-by-step guide to show
you how.
