Recipe: green morning smoothie

This is my favorite everyday green smoothie, and my kids love it too! If you are new to the green smoothie world, start here. It tastes super clean and fresh, and it’s a great base for adding in other vegetables and fruits, like cucumbers, celery, pears, and peaches.
Serves 2
Ingredients
2 frozen ripe bananas
1 cup spinach or kale leaves
1 cup frozen pineapple or mango chunks
1 cup ice
1 cup plant milk
2 teaspoons vanilla protein powder (optional)
1 teaspoon spirulina or hemp hearts (optional)
1. Place all the ingredients in a high-speed blender.
2. Blend, starting on medium speed and gradually making your way up to high, for 1 to 2 minutes, until the consistency is smooth and creamy. Stop your blender occasionally to mix the ingredients together and push them down with a smoothie stick.
