'Flower Power' party perfect to celebrate turning one!
Ida's mum Stacey adores flowers so she chose a floral theme for Ida's first birthday party. Bunting made from vintage floral fabrics, white tissue pompoms, freshly picked flowers, cupcake cases and napkins from Babycakes Rawene and a lemon and coconut cake topped with flowers all combined to make a a beautiful display. The guests were all asked to bring freshly picked flowers which were then displayed in vases and bottles. And the birthday girl? Fresh from her nap, Ida loved all the friendly faces, food and attention.
A lemon and coconut cake made by Stacey, iced with cream cheese icing and topped with fresh flowers. Lots of fresh fruit, meringues, pikelets and fairy bread. Cherry tomato and cream cheese balls. Capri salad boats and sweet corn fritters.
Food was served on vintage plates and the paper cups and straws were from a friend’s secret supply. Guests each took home a lolly necklace from Pop Roc Parties in a sweet floral bag with a note, “Love, Ida”. Pass the parcel on the lawn was perfect entertainment.
