Get Up And Go!
Teresa is so grateful to her mum Jo she once wrote her a letter expressing her admiration.
”I told her that her unconditional love for her friends and family is something I aspire to.”
Teresa says she grew up “on a street that had everything — family, friends, mud hills, tree huts and hills to bike down”.
“And that get-up-and-go spirit is something she wants to pass on to her kids, believing that, “You’re the only person who can stop you from doing anything.”
One resounding piece of advice that Jo gave Teresa in her early days of motherhood was to do whatever felt right for her.
“She taught me that it was okay to break a routine and take Millie out and that I didn’t have to follow the ‘rules’.
“Millie is her own person and she would let me know if it didn’t work for her, so I’d learn not to do it again, or if she was okay then my heart could stop racing.”
Giving yourself permission to simply go with the flow? Yes indeed — that’s what we’re talking about, baby!
