My 4 year old loves the Cafe Coffee machine. The realistic sound of milk being frothed is such a bonus! We love the little coffee capsule compartment on the top. And the wee bag of beans is a lovely touch. So far we have enjoyed everything from hot chocolates to almond lattes!! Hours of barista fun to be had 🤩

The Hape Colour Changing Oven has been a big hit in our household. My daughters, ages 3 and 5 both love to help cook and bake in our real kitchen and also love to serve up all sorts of delights in their pretend kitchen. The Hape Colour Changing Oven has been a fantastic addition. Some fun features that they particularly enjoy are those that are like a real oven, including the timer, this ticks down as soon as you close the oven door, how it dings after twenty seconds to say their baking is ready and the light that goes on when the ‘baking’ is in process. It did take us a good couple of days to get around to installing the batteries (batteries are not included) and my girls still enjoyed playing with it regardless of not accessing these features. It comes with a wooden tray that also converts to elements when flipped over. Many a dish have been concocted on these, the ideas for dishes only limited by their imaginations! The design of the oven is so sleek, the knobs click when you turn them, it’s a great size, the door is easy to open (and also makes a dinky noise when opened), all presenting as a perfect invitation for creative play that my girls certainly took advantage of. Although one added extra bonus of having it operational with batteries is that the six cookies provided with the set, change colour (go darker) to show they are ‘baked’ when placed on top of the light inside the oven. Then after a short time they revert to their normal colour ready to be used again. This feature only works when the cookies are placed directly on top of the light, not if they are first placed on the tray and then put in the oven. Overall, we love having this oven in our play kitchen, as well as all the super features it has also provided a lot of opportunities for developing vocabulary and conversation as well as being a vehicle for the ever-important dramatic play.

My son has loved playing with the Hape Sushi Time toy and pulls it out whenever a visitor comes over to 'cook' for them. It has proven to be incredibly engaging. It's bright and realistic designs, and the fact that it's interactive, captured his attention immediately. He was excited to explore the different pieces, from the sushi rolls to the soy sauce, and even the chopsticks which he's seen being used by adults but had never had a turn himself. The valcro connectors work well and allow him to "assemble" the sushi pieces easily, which helped to keep him engaged for longer periods of time than usual. I was impressed with the learning opportunities that the Hape Sushi Time toy offers. He was interested to learn how different types of sushi is made, what the ingredients are, and also how and when chopsticks are used. The toy also sparked his imagination as he really enjoyed creating his own sushi combinations and role-playing with me or his friends. He has loved pretending to be a sushi chef, arranging the pieces on the included tray, and "serving" me delicious dishes. It has definally promoted more creative play which is fun to watch and be a part of, whether he's hosting a sushi party for his friends or teaching me how to use chopsticks!I would definitely recommend this toy to any parent looking for a toy that promotes creativity and imagination, is fun and educational too!

We have the Broom and Swiffer Cleaning Stand and my two boys love it! They’ve always loved helping around the house and now they have their own tools to do so. The toy is really sturdy and all of the attachments are actually functionable which is great. I must admit I’ve grabbed the little brush and dustpan myself a couple of times to sweep up crumbs in the kitchen! I do think the handles could be a little longer, particularly the mop and broom, my kids are quite bent over using it but no complaints from them. The attachments come apart easily for washing and the nice neutral colours still look great sitting in the corner of the kitchen. It’s easy access for the kids and I have noticed them being a little more responsible for any messes they do make, they are quick to grab the broom and sweep up crumbs which certainly makes my life a bit easier. Overall I would definitely recommend this product!

We have the robot vacuum cleaner. My 3-year-old adores this! She's always been sensitive to loud noises, so much so that my vacuum cleaner terrified her. However, this friendly-looking toy has transformed vacuuming into a shared activity for us. Although she still wears earmuffs, she eagerly brings out both our vacuums and insists we "do vacuuming" daily. Surprisingly, with a toddler around, my floors have never been cleaner! This toy has taught her the importance of putting away small items before vacuuming to prevent them from getting stuck or lost. Additionally, after a couple of accidental tumbles, she's learned to store it properly. She's devised several games with it too. One involves clearing the floor as quickly as possible before our vacuuming race, where she often (and amusingly) emerges as the winner. She also enjoys playing with the blocks that came with it in various ways. In all, this is a fantastic toy. We're currently working on her pronunciation of "vacuum" because, amusingly, she sometimes pronounces it like a swear word – a bit awkward in public!
